This is my 4th year teaching 9th grade at Christiana High School. I am myself a graduate student of MOntana University, through an on-line program designed for science teachers. My capstone project will be an Action Research project looking at metacognitive skills. I am hoping to complete the project this school year and travel to Montana in 2010 to present my paper and earn my degree. And maybe get to take a look at Yellowstone while I am there ;)
I've used that website before for some of the DNA exercises but never really looked around on it beyond that. Adding it to a long list of things I need to look at.
Also, regarding a previous post - I too find myself searching aimlessly sometimes with nothing to show for hours of searching. I'll often get frustrated with a student for not "focusing" on the task at hand and conducting efficient and effective research but find myself doing the same thing. There is so much out there and often they don't what is good and useful information until you tell them.
Great video. Ditto what ktheobald said. The videos suggested by all the students in this course are worth hundreds of hours searching. Collaboration between teachers is priceless.
